It's Our Story...
The history of E.A. Buschmann Inc. began on Valentine's Day, 1961, with Ed Buschmann signing on
to become Nashua Package Sealing's Independent Rep for the state of Maine. Nashua Package Sealing is a
business specializing in a multitude of packaging solutions began with its roots in gummed (water-activated) tapes and
dispensers, which are still used today in many sandwich shops as well as packing tables in large
distribution centers.
Then We Grew...
Nashua acquired Paramont Paper Products of Omaha Nebraska in 1965, and pressure sensitive labels were
added to the E.A. Buschmann Inc. product line, which allowed Ed to offer products to nearly every business,
from supermarkets to pharmacies.
In 1972, in the midst of further Nashua acquisitions, Nashua chose to do away with Independent Reps,
replacing them with distributors. E.A. Buschmann Inc. successfully put in a proposal to work in
conjunction with recently acquired existing distributors as a distributor and manufacturer's rep.
The Meto pricing gun line came on board as a result of Ed's father's travels abroad, where he saw a
movement to pricing labels in lieu of the more traditional hand stampers and grease pencils then in
use. Further evolution later brought about bar codes and RFID.
The Loveshaw Little David product line of case sealing machines is another long time E.A. Buschmann
Inc. product line. IPM was our original stretch wrapper line until the company was sold. Upon taking
on various equipment lines, E.A. Buschmann Inc. started the original packaging equipment service
department in Maine.
With the addition of such lines as Sealed Air, Signode, AEP, Bemis, Tesa and many more over the years,
E.A. Buschmann Inc. now offers a complete source for all your packaging needs. We have also added
local distributors to better serve customers not in near proximity to our main office in Lewiston.
